Replaced the OEM Michelin tires with the new Scorpion AS-4's, on a 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited. (235/55/R19 w/ 101H rating) The OEM's developed cracks on the sidewalls. The AS-4's run really quiet and give a smooth ride, absorb potholes better, and get just a little better mpg, which were my major criteria. This tire came out on top for noise, comfort, and overall handling, control and braking for year-round driving in Denver, from the research I was able to find. (Typically, mostly dry roads, some rain, and usually not horribly snow-packed roads.) They weren't the cheapest, but safety and comfort outweigh that criteria. Considering we rack up less than 8,000 miles a year, I expect them to last us at least 5 to 7 years. Quiet! Comfortable! Responsive Control! Exactly as advertised.
The Pirelli Scorpion AS 4 is an all-season tire that's designed for use on CUVs, SUVs, and light trucks, and offers drivers excellent year-round traction, smooth and quieter rides, superior wet braking, and a 70,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty.
Features & Benefits
For everyday driving needs and an excellent touring experience year-round, the Pirelli Scorpion AS 4 is a top-rated choice that's "built to go 4ward". The confident wet performance, refined comfort, and outstanding mileage meet the expectations of most CUV, SUV, and pickup drivers. The symmetrical tread design ensures uniform tread wear and long-lasting tread life, while the optimized pattern void and pitch sequencing make the cabin experience more pleasant by reducing tread noise levels and vibrations. Thanks to the new tailor-made polymer compound, the Scorpion AS 4 promises a lasting service. Grip levels are enhanced for superior year-round performance, especially in wet weather, with the use of new resin in the compound.
